Privacy policy

In short: Full Sails has no accounts, sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising, and does not ask for your location. The few things it remembers — your language and similar display choices — stay in your own browser.

What we process and why

Server logs

When your browser loads Full Sails, our server receives the technical data every web request carries: your IP address, the time, the page or file requested, and your browser’s user agent. We use it only to deliver the service, keep it secure and fix problems, and we delete it within 30 days. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Routes you plan

When you calculate a route, the start and end points, your boat profile and routing settings are sent to our server to compute the route. They are processed to answer that request and are not stored afterwards or linked to you.

Settings in your browser

Full Sails stores a few choices in your browser’s local storage so you do not have to repeat them — for example your language, whether you have seen the safety notice, and which layers you had switched on. This is strictly necessary for the features you use, never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings. We do not use cookies.

Third parties that receive data

Mapbox, Inc. provides the base map. To draw it, your browser requests map tiles, styles and fonts directly from Mapbox, which therefore receives your IP address, browser details and the map area you are looking at, and collects usage statistics about map loads. Mapbox may process this data in the United States. See Mapbox’s privacy policy for how it handles this data and the safeguards it relies on for international transfers.

Everything else — the forecast data, the fonts, the routing — is served from our own server. We do not sell or share personal data with anyone else.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Write to info@codehorizon.se. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten), or to the data protection authority where you live.

Changes

If we add anything that changes what is described here — analytics, accounts or payments, for example — we will update this policy before it goes live and note the change on the What’s new page.
