Wind forecast for Göcek & the Gulf of Fethiye
The Gulf of Fethiye, with Göcek’s islands and bays, is one of the most sheltered cruising grounds in the eastern Mediterranean. Mornings are usually calm; in summer a westerly to north-westerly thermal builds through the afternoon and can gust strongly in the bays before dying away at night.
Most of Göcek’s anchorages are well protected — the afternoon gusts matter more for the passage between them than for the night at anchor.

On the Turkish coast the summer northerlies arrive as a west to north-west breeze that builds after midday, can gust above 25 knots in the bays by late afternoon, and usually drops away at night.
